Primer dia en Irlanda
Today was my first day of Erasmus in Ireland, and although I was very excited, I was also quite nervous. I was especially nervous at the Bilbao airport because it was my first time flying. On top of that, the flight from Bilbao to Cork was delayed by two hours, so we had quite a wait before we could board the plane. Fortunately, once we took off, everything went smoothly, and the journey felt quite short. When we arrived in Cork, Jack—my host brother—and his friends were waiting for us at the airport with a banner. It was lovely to see the welcome they had prepared for us. We all introduced ourselves and then boarded the bus heading from Cork to Limerick. During the trip, I sat next to Jack and we chatted. I also spoke with Grace and Ellen—who are apparently close friends of Jack’s—so I gradually got to know more people. When we arrived in Limerick, the bus dropped us off at the school, and Jack’s mother came to pick us up. She then drove us to the house, which is very close to the school. Upon arrival, I met the rest of the family, and we all had dinner together. We spent some time talking about the journey, the Erasmus program, and our first impressions of Ireland. After such a long and eventful day, we went to bed. I’m quite tired, but also very happy to have arrived, and I’m really looking forward to discovering everything that awaits me during this Erasmus experience.
